This piece was based on a photo of Cathy that was published in "Savage" magazine, issue #25, back in 1998.
Here is the tattoo after the first session. This is about three hours
of outlining, and only a little shading. Much remains to be done.
Here is a closeup of her face. The funny part is the mole. That's just a mole that happened
to be there on my back, and Shannon aligned the face so that it looks almost as if it's
supposed to be there.
Here is the whole figure after the second session. The hair and lips have been shaded, along
with the gloves and the shirt.
Here's a somewhat closer look at the shading in the shirt and the gloves.
Finally, here's a closeup of her shoes.
Here is the overall piece after shading the stockings, and also adding a bit of purple in the shirt.
This is my accidental branding. When we took a break, I stood up and bumped into Shannon's work lamp. The oval burn is from the light bulb, and the arc is from the metal lamp shade. If you look closely at the oval, you may be able to see the words "General Electric" burned into my skin. I'm hoping that this won't scar too much.
