Lucinda asked to go to the beach today, so Mommy took her down to Long Beach. She played on the sand, they had lunch on the beach, and she brought home a small collection of shells.

Today we went back to the Herbert Gallery in Echo Park for the “You are what you wear” exhibit. A couple of the pictures we sat for on the 2nd were in the show. It was kind of fun to see them and all the various looks of the other people who were in it.

Afterward, we went to the Autry museum in Griffith Park to see “Ocean View” about the history of Southern California beach culture. This was very interesting and entertaining to see how the surfing culture was originally brought here from Hawaii. And then how it was then exported to the rest of the U.S. by the movie, fashion and music industries.

Daddy took Lucinda to see “Piglet’s Big Movie” today. After the movie, we all went to a birthday party for one of the other little girls in her preschool class. Daddy took Lucinda to the Eaton Canyon Natural Area (http://www.ecnca.org) park today. They poked around the streams flowing down the canyon, looked at the exhibits in the visitor center, walked a couple of nature trails, and climbed some trees. Then it started raining and they had to come home.

We took Lucinda to the opening party at the Museum of Neon Art this evening. We met Alethia and her mom there so that the two girls could play. They looked at all the neon artworks, had some cookies, and then went outside to run around.

We went to the Museum of Neon Art opening party tonight. This was to show off the new exhibit, “Gas and Glass”. The new exhibit runs until September. They had food, drinks, music, and lots of very nice neon art. It was a fun time.

To get ink levels on the Epson photo printer:

I commented out the ‘O DaemonPortOptions=Port=587, Name=MSA, M=E’ line in sendmail.cf to close the open port at 587.

Lucinda and Mommy went to the L.A. Zoo today. They spent the afternoon there.
