So it’s ‘delurk’ week…

I’ve seen everywhere else that it’s supposed to be ‘delurk’ week. According to my statistics pages, I get something like 300 people a day visiting the blog portion of my web site. On average, the whole site gets something like 2,000 visits a day.

As Butch Cassidy and Sundance said:

“Who are those guys?”

So please to be leaving comments here. Can be just an anonymous “hi”. Just make some noise or something. I can hear you breathing out there…

Hi! Older guy with white beard here. I usually ride a 20 year old red Colnago (with cages) or a 35 year old orange Schwinn Paramount (with cages). About 6’2 with red helmet and most commonly a red shirt. I wave to other riders. I am usually riding about in San Marino, Alhambra, San Gabriel, So. Pasadena, Arcadia, Monrovia, Duarte while shooting for 20 – 25 miles per day. I live near the Church of Our Saviour (General Patton’s church … the General is on the stained glass windows and the family is in the graveyard). In my 60’s I’m slower but steady at about 13 – 14 mph on average. I am often seen at Jone’s Bike Shop #2 on Huntington Drive (good people). I often check your blog for bike destinations … I thank you for your clear and interesting writing style. Wave if you spot a guy who looks like Santa! Glenn

Well, my computer crashed the first time I tried to comment here, so I guess that will count as 2 visits!

Hi! As the guy above said, I usually go to your blog to check out the routes and all that. It was actually very helpful since the routes point to the preferable street to take. That is less traffic and challenging too.
Be careful about the lurkers though, in a crazy world right now, they could just be after Lucinda or you!

    Take care!

Likewise, a local in Pasa interesting in bike routes who enjoys your commentary on things. My VW was recently killed on the 110 by an SUV, and I’m now getting around by bike, on foot, w/ public transportation, and kind people giving me rides. What an adventure! Thanks for your great descriptions and maps.
